Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level 1 trauma facility. Requirements include Siemens CT experience, MA Radiologic and CT licensure/eligibility, ARRT CT registration, and BLS. Two to three years radiology experience with at least one year in CT are preferred.

The role involves a 13-week assignment with 11:00 AM–11:30 PM shifts, 36 hours weekly, weekend work, non-rotating schedule, and potential on-call duties. Local candidates within 60 miles may receive adjusted pay.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
MA Radiologic and CT Technologist license (or eligible) required.
ARRT CT registration or equivalent required.
BLS (AHA) certification required.
2–3 years radiology experience; at least 1 year CT.

Responsibilities

13-week assignment with 11:00 AM–11:30 PM shifts.
36 hours per week with weekend and non-rotating schedule.
Float among radiology clinics and divisions as needed.
Operate CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
Prepare, position, and shield patients as needed.
Explain exams to patients while maintaining confidentiality.
Perform venipuncture for contrast under radiologist direction.
Document in RIS and transfer images to PACS.
On-call coverage may be required.
May oversee students or other personnel.
Participate in QA/QI and research initiatives.
Flu vaccine required during flu season with no exemptions.
Local candidates within 60 miles with adjusted pay rate.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 trauma facility requiring Siemens CT experience and ARRT certification in CT.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
Current MA Radiologic and CT Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
ARRT registration in CT or equivalent required
BLS certification required (AHA only)
2-3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred, with at least 1 year in CT
Level 1 trauma and Siemens CT experience required
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients under physical or emotional stress
Analytical ability to apply imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy knowledge

Responsibilities

13-week assignment with evening shift hours from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
36 hours per week with weekend requirement and non-rotating schedule
Float among radiology clinics and divisions as needed
Level 1 trauma center setting
Siemens CT equipment experience required
Uses CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices
Epic EMR used for charting
On-call coverage and flexible shift coverage may be required
Operate CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images per departmental protocol
Prepare, position, and immobilize patients, applying protective shielding as needed
Explain exams to patients while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct
Perform venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction
Calibrate and verify equipment operation, reporting malfunctions as needed
Complete Radiology Information System documentation and transfer images to PACS
May oversee or instruct technology students and other personnel
Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, and research initiatives
Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of the facility, subject to adjusted pay rate
