Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 12-week assignment in Elgin, Illinois. The role requires performing CT imaging across ED/inpatient and outpatient settings during 10-hour night shifts (6:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m.), with on-call duties and weekend rotation as described.

You will work with a Level II Trauma Center and Magnet designation facility, supporting patient care in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates have ARRT and BLS credentials; ARRT-CT preferred.

• Ability to work independently & in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to hospital protocols and charting in EPIC.

Patient Types

• Inpatient/Outpatient/ER: all scans are done in the ED; approximately 25-30% are peds (peds experience preferred)
• Required: general anatomy, stroke alerts, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, head
• Preferred: coronary studies (TAVRs); Procedural: biopsies, drains

Patient Ratios: 1:1

Required Certifications

• Required: BLS, ARRT
• Preferred: ARRT-CT

Skills required

• General CT experience in a hospital setting, experience with the above patient types, IV starts
• Experience with Client Revolution HD
• Ability to work independently & in a fast-paced, team environment.

Support on the Unit

• Other CT techs; traveler will be working alone on night shift
• RRT/Code Blue team
• Transport available for inpatient scans; CT tech will transport ED patients
• Rad tech also often available for transport assistance
