Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Montgomery, Alabama. The ideal candidate holds ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification and will work 40 hours per week on evenings, typically 10-hour shifts, on a 7 on/7 off rotation.

No on-call required, and two CT Techs are scheduled for the later shift. Responsibilities include performing CT procedures across head/neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, extremities, and CTAs, with Cerner EMR and GE/ Philips

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in CT procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Cerner EMR and GE Philips CT equipment while ensuring patient safety and image quality.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification for a 13-week contract supporting inpatient, outpatient, and ED CT procedures.

• Radiology department supporting inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient types
• 1:1 patient ratio
• CT procedures include Head/Neck, Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis, Spine, Extremities, CTAs, Drainage, Biopsies, and Brain Perfusions
• Uses Cerner EMR, Philips Enterprise PACS, GE CT Optima 660 64 Slice scanner, and contrast power injection system
• 10-hour mid shifts on a 7on/7off schedule running Thursday through Wednesday
• Shift times are 1:30pm-2:00am or 3:30pm-2:00am depending on the day
• Two CT Techs scheduled during the 3:30p-2a shift
• Every other weekend worked as part of the 7on/7off rotation
• No floating required
• No on-call requirements

• ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification required, license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year experience required; candidates with only 1 year experience will not be accepted
• Experience with CT procedures across head/neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities
• Experience with CTA studies, drainage and biopsy procedures, and brain perfusion imaging
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Orientation consists of 1-2 shifts
• One major and one minor seasonal holiday coverage expected per policy, though specific dates off are not contractually guaranteed
• Requests for time off beyond 7 days must be submitted via email for approval
• Scrubs of any color are permitted
• Free parking available on site
• Candidates must live outside a 65-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered for a travel assignment
