Job summary

Supplemental Health Care, Inc. is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Elgin, Illinois. This 13-week contract offers 40 hours per week with 10-hour night shifts at a partnering hospital. Ideal candidates hold ARRT credentials (CT preferred) and an active radiologic license, with 1–2 years of CT imaging experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R); ARRT (CT) certification preferred.
• Active state radiologic technologist license (if applicable).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist; prior CT imaging experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and CT imaging protocols.

Responsibilities

• Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, including appropriate radiation protection practices
• Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
