Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Computed Tomography Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The role involves day shifts on a 12-hour schedule with 36 hours per week and travel-related benefits.

The candidate must have ARRT (or CNMT) credentials, CT registry within 18 months, BLS, and PA Acts compliance. Prior radiology experience and proficiency with contrast administration are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or CNMT program.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was obtained or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field is required.
• ARRT Certificate and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Compliance with Pennsylvania Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
• Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.
• Demonstrates proper technique in venipuncture and uses a power injector according to set protocols.
• Administers oral, rectal, and intravenous contrast as per physician orders, while assessing patients for potential risk factors.
• Communicates effectively with patients and co-workers, demonstrating a high level of caring, dignity, and respect.
• Follows universal protocol for patient identification using two identifiers.
• Reviews patient history and assesses physician orders to ensure optimal results.
• Documents patient history in electronic records as required.
• Ensures proper coding, tracking, networking, and charge entry for exams performed.
• Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with system-wide competencies.
