American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Shift is 10 hours, days, with 40 hours per week and call one day per week.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year CT experience, ARRT CT certification, and AMA radiologic technology education. Travel role includes fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR imaging with Cerner EMR usage.

Qualifications

• State radiographer license required if applicable.
• Knowledge of CT protocols and cross-sectional anatomy.
• No certifications expiring within first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT scans for inpatients and outpatients.
• Operate Cerner EMR and ensure patient safety during imaging.
• Handle 4x10 hour mid shifts, 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, Tue–Fri.
• Assist with basic radiographic procedures and OR imaging.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist with 1+ years of recent CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a mid-shift travel assignment.

Details

• CT Scanner unit with 2 beds
• Performs diagnostic CT scanning for both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Patient ratio of approximately 3 scans per hour per tech
• Procedures include CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage studies
• Also performs basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 4x10hr mid shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Call required one day per week
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in CT required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited AMA radiologic technology program
• State license as a general radiographer required if applicable
• Knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedures, contrast media studies, and cross-sectional anatomy
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provides timely diagnostic imaging services under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols
• Max RTO of 1 week
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Travelers who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
