• Follow Radiologist directions and Cerner EMR workflows
• Maintain patient safety and radiology room sterility

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist for a night shift travel assignment requiring ARRT (CT) certification and 1+ year of recent experience.

Details

• CT Scanner unit with 2 beds
• Patient ratio of approximately 3 scans per hour per tech
• Inpatient and outpatient diagnostic services under Radiologist direction and departmental protocols
• Night shift schedule, Wednesday/Thursday/Friday, 4:30 PM to 6:00 AM
• Call required at a rate of 1 day per week
• No floating required
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited AMA radiography program
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• State license as a general radiographer required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in CT required
• Proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning including head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities
• Experience with biopsy/drainage procedures, contrast and non-contrast studies, and cross-sectional anatomy
• Knowledge of CT system processing and surgical/sterile procedures
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services
• Max RTO requests limited to less than 1 week
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months are permitted
