Job summary

Trinity Health, MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center, seeks a Part-time CT Technologist to support our FirstChoice CT Techs program. You will review orders, position patients, and perform high-quality CT imaging, coordinating with radiology leadership to ensure optimal diagnostic results.

Ideal candidates hold an ARRT CT registration, an accredited radiologic technologist program, an associate degree or higher, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• At least 18 months CT experience required.
• Registration as CT with ARRT required.
• BLS certification current (American Heart Association).
• Willingness to float across locations/hospital units.
• Cannot hold a concurrent Trinity Health position.

Responsibilities

• Review physician order and reason for exam, prepare patient, position and perform CT imaging.
• Collaborate with CT leadership and Radiologist to produce diagnostic images per protocols.
• Operate imaging equipment to obtain images with ALARA principles.
• Collaborate with unit staff and FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced-based care.

What you will Do:

• FirstChoice CT Techs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, and we need you to be a part of this innovative program!

Responsibilities:

• The CT Technologist is responsible for reviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam , preparing the patient, positioning, and performing CT imaging of patients.
• The CT Technologist works closely with CT leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.
• Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of CT experience required .
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as a CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) .
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification . (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
