Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a CT Technologist for its FirstChoice travel staffing program at Mercy One - Genesis Medical Center, IA. The role offers part-time nights with opportunities for local and travel assignments across the system.

The CT Technologist will review orders, position patients, perform CT imaging, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure high-quality, ALARA-compliant studies across multiple hospital locations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in radiologic technology.
• 18 months CT experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and ARRT CT registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Willingness to float throughout hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent Trinity Health position.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and reason for exam, prepare patient, position and perform CT imaging.
• Work with CT leadership and radiologist to produce diagnostic images per department protocols.
• Operate imaging equipment to obtain images with ALARA principles.
• Collaborate with unit staff and FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced-based care.

What you will Do

• FirstChoice CT Techs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, and we need you to be a part of this innovative program!

Responsibilities

• The CT Technologist is responsible for reviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam , preparing the patient, positioning, and performing CT imaging of patients.
• The CT Technologist works closely with CT leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.
• Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of CT experience required .
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as a CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) .
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification . (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
