Job summary

Trinity Health’s FirstChoice CT Tech role in Albany, NY, offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for local or travel assignments within the health system. You will review orders, position patients, and perform CT imaging to support high-quality diagnostic care.

Working with CT leadership and radiologists, you will ensure image quality while applying ALARA principles. Minimum requirements include ARRT CT, an accredited Radiologic Technologist program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• 18 months CT experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and ARRT CT registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only).
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and reason for exam, prepare patient, position, and perform CT imaging.
• Work with CT leadership and Radiologist to produce diagnostic images per department protocols.
• Operate imaging equipment to obtain images with ALARA techniques.

What you will Do

• FirstChoice CT Techs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, and we need you to be a part of this innovative program!

Responsibilities

• The CT Technologist is responsible for reviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam, preparing the patient, positioning, and performing CT imaging of patients.

• The CT Technologist works closely with CT leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols.

• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.

• Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.

• Eighteen (18) months of CT experience required.

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as a CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)

• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.

• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
