Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Draeger vent experience and prior travel assignment history.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, neonatal/pediatric/adult care, and potential student orientation. Epic charting is used, and travel housing support is provided. Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Draeger vent experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT or RRT
• State license required if applicable
• CPFT, NRP, and PALS certifications preferred
• Neonatal oscillating vent and high frequency jet vent experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required

Responsibilities

• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float between two campus locations as needed
• Rotate through NICU, pediatric units and adult units depending on census
• Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations including NICU and pediatric critical care
• Perform ventilator management, airway suctioning, ABG interpretation, and pulmonary hygiene procedures
• May orient students or new hires as needed
• Care for patients with ARDS, RSV, CF, and respiratory distress syndrome
• Participate in high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports as needed
• Use Epic for charting
