Job summary

Maxim Crane Works seeks a Crawler Technician responsible for directing the assembly or disassembly of scheduled crane movements at customer jobsites, ensuring safe field operations and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3+ years' experience with lattice boom crawler cranes, the ability to read lift plans, and adherence to OSHA standards. Travel and weekend work are required with a valid driver's license and clean record.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience assembling and disassembling lattice boom crawler cranes and tele-crawlers.
• Ability to read and follow lift plans and rigging drawings.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety regulations.
• Must pass drug test, background check, and fit for duty test.
• Willingness to travel regularly and occasionally work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Direct assembly or disassembly of scheduled crane movements and ensure safe field operations.
• Coordinate with regional managers and branch personnel during crane moves.
• Assist with inventory of attachments and components within responsibility area.
• Verify job-specific load lists and locate crane components before ship/build dates.
• Control costs by minimizing downtime and communicating delays promptly.
