Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a COTA for a pediatrics-focused early intervention role in Redding, CA. Open to new graduates, this position involves home and clinic pediatric OT work with school-based duties as needed.

The role features a standard M–F day schedule, 40 hours per week, with mileage/travel reimbursement and upfront housing considerations. Strong preference for candidates with pediatric experience and a willingness to commit for the school year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• California OT license required if applicable (pending licenses accepted).
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• New graduates accepted; no prior experience required.
• Experience with pediatric populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Early intervention OT for pediatric clients in home and clinic settings (90%).
• School-based therapy services (10%).
• Day shift schedule, Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8).
• 40 hours per week and duties include evaluation, planning and treatment design.
• Mileage and travel time reimbursed.
• Works in pediatric outpatient and school settings.
• Preference for candidates available for entire school year.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Charting system experience required.

• Skills in Activities of Daily Living, Autism, Early Intervention, Handwriting, Learning Disability, Neurodevelopmental Treatment, Sensory Diet Program, Sensory Integrative Testing/Treatment, and Visual Perceptual Skills Testing/Treatment preferred
