Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Lowell, MA. The role requires at least one year of OTA experience in LTC or SNF settings and active MA licensure, with COTA licensure if applicable. You will work under an OT supervisor delivering rehabilitative care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required.
• LTC or SNF setting experience required.
• COTA license required if applicable.
• Active MA state licensure required.
• One reference required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Long-term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit.
• 13-week assignment.
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts.
• No weekend requirements.
• No on-call requirements.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans.
• Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings.
• Support and supervise students under OT guidance as needed.
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards.
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested.
