Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Availability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 35 hours per week.
• Knowledge of basic OT modalities and ability to support treatment plans within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy support under the supervision of the supervising OT, delivering rehabilitation services to residents.
• Implement treatment plans, therapy modalities, activities, and interventions to improve or maintain functional independence in activities of daily living.
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes in patient status to the OT and care team; maintain accurate records in the chart or EMR.
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, ambulation, and use of assistive devices and equipment, while following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participate in care planning discussions, and contribute to goal setting for residents.
