Job summary

OBR Management in Fort Wayne, IN seeks Cooling Tower Cleaning Technicians to join the Great Lakes region team. You will travel frequently to inspect, clean, and maintain cooling tower equipment under supervision to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include operating power washers safely, following THA and MSDS guidelines, handling chemicals, and achieving high cleanliness while meeting schedule demands.

Qualifications

• Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
• Valid Driver's License and proof of U.S. Citizenship.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Score of 2 or less in a DISA background screen.
• OSHA 10 Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks with precision and attention to detail to ensure equipment quality.
• Proficient in the safe operation of power washers, with knowledge of appropriate spray head selection and usage.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to support safe, efficient, and timely project completion.
• Uphold OBR’s standards of safety, efficiency, and quality throughout all phases of work.
• Work diligently to maintain high cleaning standards without compromising project timeliness or safety.
• Perform pre- and post-treatment activities, including accurate measurement of free chlorine levels in cooling tower circulating water.
• Demonstrate professionalism, a positive attitude, and technical competence in daily duties.
• Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) cards and other safety documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Read, interpret, and apply information from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS); practice proper chemical handling techniques.
• Perform work at heights while maintaining 100% tie-off when above 4 feet.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Superintendent, Field Managers, Area Managers, or Foreman.
