Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers, LLC is hiring Cooling Tower Cleaning Technicians to join our team in the San Jose, CA region. We’re looking for motivated individuals who enjoy frequent travel and thrive in a fast-paced, on-the-road work environment.

You will work under the guidance of OBR Foremen and Superintendents to ensure our systems operate safely and efficiently while performing cleaning, safety checks, and pre/post treatments on cooling tower equipment.

Qualifications

• Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
• Valid U.S. Citizenship
• Satisfactory background check
• DISA background screen score 2 or less
• OSHA 10 Certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks with precision and attention to detail to ensure equipment quality.
• Proficient in the safe operation of power washers, with knowledge of appropriate spray head selection and usage.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to support safe, efficient, and timely project completion.
• Uphold safety, efficiency, and quality standards throughout all phases of work.
• Work diligently to maintain high cleaning standards without compromising project timeliness or safety.
• Perform pre- and post-treatment activities, including measurement of free chlorine levels.
• Demonstrate professionalism, a positive attitude, and technical competence in daily duties.
• Complete THA cards and other safety documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Read, interpret, and apply MSDS information; practice proper chemical handling techniques.
• Perform work at heights with 100% tie-off above 4 feet.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervision.
