Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino Coast is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a 13-week travel assignment at its 25-bed critical access hospital in Fort Bragg, CA.

The CLS will perform and evaluate a wide range of laboratory testing, review and document results, perform quality control, troubleshoot instrumentation, and ensure accurate specimen processing and reporting across hematology, coagulation, blood bank, urinalysis, and microbiology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or Allied Health Technologies.
• California CLS license – Required.
• ASCP or NCA certification – Preferred.
• Clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate a wide range of laboratory testing.
• Review and document results and perform quality control.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and ensure accurate specimen processing and reporting.
• Work across areas including Hematology, Coagulation, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
