Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a server to deliver friendly and efficient service at our travel centers. You will welcome guests, take orders, and process transactions with a POS system, while promoting daily specials and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The role requires good verbal communication, willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays, and prior food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and POS knowledge required.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in food service is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team and handle busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, accurate, and efficient service to guests.
• Take orders, process transactions on a POS register, and upsell daily specials.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards; follow food handling procedures.
• Prioritize tasks based on kitchen and dining needs; communicate with leads.
• Assist team members and ensure a positive guest experience.
