Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Server to join our restaurant team. You’ll deliver friendly, accurate, and efficient service to guests and help create a welcoming experience for travelers at our travel centers.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting daily specials, processing orders with the POS, coordinating with kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding safety standards while delivering great hospitality on busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team.
• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
• Previous food service experience a plus.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere attitude.
• Promote daily specials and knowledge of menu items.
• Process transactions on a POS register.
• Prioritize work according to kitchen and dining guest needs.
• Maintain equipment per operating standards.
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling and/or preparing food.
• Build rapport with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
