Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a Cook to join our restaurant team. You’ll prepare and present quality meals for guests, assist with prep work, and support grill stations to ensure guest satisfaction. This role requires flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

You’ll follow safety guidelines, manage portions, and maintain clean equipment and work areas. We offer competitive pay from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour and benefits such as medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Experience in food service is preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, customer-focused environment.
• Perform prep tasks: wash, chop, and sort ingredients.
• Operate grill, broiler and fryer stations and follow plate presentation guides.
• Complete prep, freezer pull and temperature checklist sheets.
• Maintain safe food handling and storage and report unsafe conditions.
• Keep equipment clean and maintained and prioritize tasks.
• Collaborate with leaders and coworkers and assist with other duties as needed.
