Job summary

TravelCenters of America invites you to join as a Cook at our locations across the U.S. This role prepares and presents quality food to guests, helping ensure guests return as travelers on the road.

You will perform prep and grill tasks, follow plate presentation guides, and adhere to safety and inventory procedures. The job offers experience in a fast-paced food service environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience a plus.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Perform prep cook tasks such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
• Perform grill cook tasks, set up broiler, fryer and grill stations according to line check sheets.
• Complete prep, freezer pull and temperature checklist sheets.
• Practice safe food handling and storage and follow safety guidelines.
• Maintain equipment per operating standards.
• Prioritize your work according to restaurant and guest needs.
• Build strong communication with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
