Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services in Columbia, SC seeks a skilled first assistant for our cath lab to support complex cardiac interventions using OCT, IVUS, and related devices. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent hospital bedside experience in Cath Lab and Angio with scrub experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT-R, Oregon state license (OBMI).
• Experience with advanced cardiac equipment and procedures is essential.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to different roles, and handle multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex cardiac interventions as first assistant in a state-of-the-art catheterization lab.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as OCT, IVUS, Rotoblator, Shockwave, and drug-coated balloons.
• Assist with device insertions including Impella, IABP, and stent deployment.
• Maintain sterile procedures, handle equipment setup, stock supplies, and work as room circulator.
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients, float within the facility as needed.
• Complete assigned education promptly and adhere to on-call requirements.

Key Duties

• Work five 10-hour day shifts weekly, with on-call duties approximately one weeknight and one weekend every 3-4 weeks.
• Perform equipment setup, assist during procedures, and ensure patient and procedural safety.
• Complete necessary education within one week of assignment.
• Potential for extension based on performance.
