Job summary

CHI is seeking a Cath Lab Tech in Bryan, Texas to deliver excellent patient care through diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will independently operate lab equipment and highlight your competencies in scrubbing techniques and radiation safety.

Successful candidates will have an Associate of Science Degree, and be knowledgeable in cardiac cath procedures, electrophysiological studies, and patient data documentation. The position offers relocation assistance up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 18 months of hire.
• BLS-CPR within 14 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate ancillary equipment in the lab.
• Demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques.
• Maintain accurate logs of events and patient data.

Skills

Knowledgeable in diagnostic and interventional cardiac caths

Ability to take Scrub Call independently

Job description

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Cath Lab Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cath lab setting.

Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques, utilize good radiation safety practices and make a positive impact on internal and external customers.

To be successful you need a full understanding of diagnostic imaging, including workflow, patient positioning, and capturing clear results.

• Knowledgeable and competent in performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac caths, peripheral, neuro, and EP procedures
• Knowledgeable in electrophysiological studies and operation of physiological monitoring systems
• Accurately enters and records pertinent patient data, documents events, and calculates valve areas
• Able to take Scrub Call independently and assist physicians in acute MI and stroke procedures on unstable patients
• Keeps an accurate log of events, including medications, hemodynamics, supplies, and procedures performed
• Scrubs at tableside assisting physicians with procedure
• Relocation assistance of up to $5,000 for eligible candidates

Pay Range

$32.30 - $48.05 per hour
