Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency in Santa Monica is seeking an experienced professional to support cardiac and interventional cardiology procedures. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of acute care experience in a Cath Lab and various certifications including BLS, ACLS, and ARRT. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as the ability to maintain a sterile environment during operations. The position also involves participation in on-call duties, ensuring comprehensive support across specialties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year acute care experience in a Cath Lab.
• Experience in a community hospital setting is required.
• Preferred certifications: CCI RCES, CET.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support cardiac and interventional procedures.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiology.
• Participate in STEMI and stroke center operations.
• Maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Float between specialties as required.
• Handle on-call duties including weekends.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Support cardiac, electrophysiology, VTE thrombectomy, interventional neuro, and interventional radiology procedures.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiology, as well as diagnostic and interventional neuro procedures.
• Participate in STEMI and stroke receiving center operations.
• Handle equipment set up, accurate monitoring, and maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Float between specialties in the lab as required.
• Participate in on-call duties, including M-F and Sat/Sun call requirements.

Skills

• Proficiency in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath lab procedures.
• Experience with ECMO, Impella insertion, and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) is preferred.
• Skilled in cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, and various catheterization techniques.
• Competence in electrophysiology studies, including arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, and pacemaker insertion.
• Ability to perform vascular studies and procedures such as carotid angiography, embolization, and thrombolysis.
• Experience with procedural responsibilities, including EKG lead placement, equipment operation, and maintenance.

Experience
