Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current cath lab experience.
• ARRT, Fluoroscopy, and BLS certifications required (RCIS and CCT not accepted).
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with cardiac, vascular, peripheral, EP, general IR procedures.
• Comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, and airway management.
• Experience with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors.

Responsibilities

• Support acute care Cath Lab unit operations across multiple suites.
• Assist with case setup, monitoring, and documentation.
• Lead tech responsibilities and assist with room assignments.
• Ensure sterile technique and patient safety throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with RN staff and provide patient care during cases.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a STEMI-receiving acute care facility, requiring 2+ years of current cath lab experience and ARRT, Fluoroscopy, and BLS certifications.

Details

• Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 5 suites: 2 for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral cases, 1 for vascular & neuro cases, and 1 for EP cases
• Average of 10-22 cases per day across the unitCases typically staffed with 2 techs (one scrubs, one monitors hemodynamics); RN handles conscious sedation; a 4th team member (RN or tech) may join depending on case complexity
• Lead Tech responsible for room assignments
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 4x10 hour day shifts
• First to float
• Weeknight call required 1x/week for inpatient and emergent cases
• Weekend call required 1x/month, running Friday evening through Monday AM, subject to change
