Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform contrast-enhanced radiographic imaging of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Position and immobilize patients using specified protocols and equipment.
• Assist physicians with specialized procedures and exams, including entering technical imaging factors and operating fluoroscope/cinefluorography equipment.
• Operate automatic contrast injection systems during procedures.
• Model, mentor, and train staff on technical skills and provide input on hiring and promotion decisions.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with Cath Lab experience and current Fluoroscopy certification to join a cardiovascular lab team.

Details

• Cath Lab unit performing cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations
• Role involves active radiographic interventional procedures using complex cardiovascular lab equipment, similar to an IR Tech
• Variable shift schedules including 7am-5:30pm, 8am-6:30pm, or 9am-7:30pm
• Call required after hours and every other weekend, plus two weeknights per week

Requirements

• Minimum three years of technical experience in Cath Lab preferred
• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred; Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology preferred for some certifications
• Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred
• RT license in state of practice required; license required if applicable
• ARRT certification preferred
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification required
• TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
• Cerner and/or EPIC experience must be noted in employment history if applicable

• Assist physicians with specialized procedures and exams, including entering technical imaging factors and operating fluoroscope/cinefluorography equipment
• Operate automatic contrast injection systems during procedures
• Model, mentor, and train staff on technical skills and provide input on hiring and promotion decisions
• Located within the Adventist Health network
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
• No radius rule applies; local candidates receive the same rate as travel candidates
• Travelers may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
