American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment in Sioux Falls, SD. The role involves scrubbing, circulating and monitoring cardiac catheterization procedures in a Level 1 trauma acute care lab with 8 fluoro rooms and EP cases.

Requirements include 2+ years Cath Lab experience, BLS/ACLS (AHA) certification, and EPIC charting familiarity. RCIS/RCES certification is preferred. On-call duties apply with a 30-minute response time.

• Perform 4x10 hour shifts with varying start times and 40 hours per week.
• On-call 1 time per week and 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks with 30-minute response time.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring 2+ years of experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Level 1 trauma acute care setting in a Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 8 fluoro rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoro
• Scrub, circulate, and monitor peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart caths, and EP cases, with possible device scrubbing
• Uses EPIC EMR along with XIM (Philips/Witt charting), Pyxis, Xcelera, and Siemens/Philips fluoro systems
• 4x10 hour shifts with varying start times (0530-1600, 0630-1700, 0730-1800)
• Required to work Christmas Eve coverage
• On-call responsibilities include 1 call per week and 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks with a 30-minute response time
• May be placed on mandate list to fill unclaimed call shifts
• On-call every other weekend if needed
• No floating to other units

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA)
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Cath Lab experience required
• RCIS or RCES certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Experience with EPIC charting system

Additional Information

• Orientation will focus on monitoring in XIM and effective scrubbing/circulating skills
• 8 hours of orientation provided
• Ceil Blue scrubs provided
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates with previous employment at this health system must disclose this information and have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• Accepts local candidates within an 80-mile radius
