Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a position in Charlotte, North Carolina, starting ASAP. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Labs, with required skills in structural heart procedures.

This role includes working 40 hours a week on 10-hour shifts, with a pay package including generous benefits starting from day one. Candidates should be available for orientation without prior commitments, as this is a critical step prior to the start of the assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required.
• Structural Heart scrub experience is required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• At least one of the following certifications: RCIS or ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure rooms.

Details

• Work in a hospital cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure rooms
• Procedures include complex PCI, balloon angioplasty, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, Rotablator, and TAVR/Structural Heart interventions
• Preferred procedures include Watchman, septal closure, ablations, coil embolization, and filter placement
• EMR systems used: Epic and MAC Lab
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Call requirement includes callback and weekend call; approximately 9–11 call days per 6-week schedule with 1–2 weekend rotations
• Floating is rare but may occasionally occur to the EP lab; the unit's patient holding area is considered part of the Cath Lab

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Structural Heart scrub experience is required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Required skills include scrubbing, monitoring, PA lines, telemetry, and TAVR/Structural Heart experience
• Required procedures: balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, Rotablator
• Current ACLS and BLS required
• At least one of the following certifications required: RCIS or ARRT
• Preferred skills include circulating, IV start, conscious sedation, and rhythm interpretation
• License required if applicable

• Orientation start date may fall on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week — candidates must be fully available with no other commitments during this period, as missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start
• No RTO is permitted after booking and cannot be arranged onsite; call‑offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation
