Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 12-week assignment in Bakersfield, CA. The role involves assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, patient preparation, equipment operation, and maintaining sterile technique.

Start date is 11/09/2026 with 40 hours per week and 8-hour day shifts. The ideal candidate has one year of Cath Lab experience, current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT/RCES/RCIS credentials.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab Tech experience.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and related interventional procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents; operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic systems; ensure proper functionality.
• Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup following infection-control protocols.
• Maintain documentation for patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and hospital policies; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
