Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week hospital assignment in Florida. Candidate must hold an active FL RN license, ACLS/BLS, and have STEMI experience with proficiency in balloon pump and Impella devices.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, day shift hours, and on-call requirements. Travel-ready candidates are welcome; benefits include health coverage and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

Florida RN license (active)
ACLS and BLS certifications (ACLS/BLS)
RN experience: 18+ months (2+ preferred)
STEMI experience required
Proficiency with balloon pump, Impella, atherectomy devices, cardiac meds/drips
Experience with procedural sedation and dysrhythmia management
One supervisor reference required
COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization in hospital Cath Lab
Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Perform left/right heart catheterization and Swan-Ganz monitoring
Call required; evenings and weekends
Floating within scope as needed for facility
Charting in EMR system
Provide nursing care for cath lab patients
Monitor dysrhythmias and sedation during procedures
Complete orientation modules promptly
EKG/pharmacology tests with up to 2 retests
Rotating holiday coverage
New travelers welcome; local candidates on same bill rate
Discuss time off during interview and finalize before consideration
No return to this health system for 1 year post-end date
