American Traveler has an immediate opening for a Travel Cath Lab / EP Technologist in Winston-Salem, NC. You will support physicians during cardiovascular procedures such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology, in facilities with strong patient care standards.

Responsibilities include pre-procedure EKG checks, intra-procedure readout analysis, and patient preparation for surgery. A comprehensive benefits package and travel allowances accompany the role.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent experience in this setting.
• License/registration as required by the state.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification through AHA is recommended or required.
• ARRT or ARDMS credentials per your discipline.
• Specialty certifications are preferred and may be required.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures such as angioplasty and cardiac catheterization.
• Support electrophysiology procedures; assist during open heart surgery as needed.

Requirements

• 1+ year of recent experience in this setting
• Valid professional license or registration if required by this state
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA recommended and may be required

Responsibilities

Cath Lab Technologists work in the field of cardiovascular technology. The CL Techs assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures like angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology. In some cases the Cath Lab Tech will assist during an open heart surgery, with insertion of pacemakers or stents. Before the surgery they are responsible for checking and verifying that the EKG is working properly. They will also analyze the readouts and inform the doctor of any abnormalities. During the some surgical procedures, they are responsible for preparing the patients for the surgery.
