Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures for a teaching hospital. The role requires scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating across CV and EP labs, including angiograms and complex interventions.

You will rotate through diagnostic and interventional labs on 4x10 hour days with on-call rotations. Epic/Excellian charting and mapping systems familiarity are preferred. Local travel details apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in EP and CV procedures.
• Current BLS required; ACLS, ARRT-R, CCI RCES/RCIS preferred.
• License required if applicable; pending state license accepted.
• Proficiency in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for CV and EP cases.
• Experience with coronary angiograms, CTOs, and complex interventions.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, IABP/Impella, and ECMO is required.
• Familiarity with mapping systems (Affera, Carto, EnSite) and EP equipment is desired.
• Epic/Excellian charting experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and EP lab settings.
• Perform coronary angiograms, complex interventions, and ablations.
• Assist with right heart catheterizations; place devices like Impella or IABP as needed.
• Lead EKG placement, pre/post-procedure prep, and sterile field maintenance.
• Work with fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and mapping systems in a teaching hospital.
• Adhere to hospital policies; support on-call rotations and travel considerations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience required in both EP and CV procedures

• Proficiency in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for both CV and EP procedures
• Experience with coronary angiograms, complex interventions, CTO, Shockwave, Rotablator, and CSI required
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, right heart catheterization, Impella, IABP, and ECMO required
• Experience with pacemaker implants, ablations, and complex ablations required
• Familiarity with Affera, Carto, and EnSite mapping systems
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Date of birth and SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Rotate through diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and EP lab settings
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend on-call rotation of 3-4 times per 13-week contract
• Weekday on-call rotation of 1-2 nights per week
• No floating within scope or to sister facilities required per facility policy, though candidates may float within hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR
• Uses fluoroscopy, Philips, Siemens, and ultrasound equipment
• Perform coronary angiograms, complex interventions, right heart catheterizations, Impella and IABP placement, pacemaker implants, and ablations
• Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, access site prep, equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• First-time travelers accepted
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
• Returning staff must have a 3-month gap from last shift worked as perm staff or per diem before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted; a 100-mile radius restriction applies to this position
