Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a community hospital cardiac cath lab in Topeka, Kansas. The position requires at least 1 year of cath lab experience, with BLS and ARRT(R) or RCIS certification. EPIC charting experience is preferred and candidates must reside more than 50 miles away.

The role includes day shifts (4x10s, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM) with floating to similar units as needed. Open to first-time travelers; travel reimbursements and licensure support provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience.
• BLS and ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certifications required.
• Kansas license required if ARRT certified.
• License required if applicable.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
• Community hospital experience required.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, Impella insertion, rotablator atherectomy, temporary pacemaker, TAVR, and Watchman.
• Perform EP studies including cardiac ablation, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, and LAA closure.
• Perform venous access, central venous access, port accessing/management, and EKG lead placement.
• May float to similar units within scope of practice as needed.

• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• May float to similar units within scope of practice as needed
• Performs cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, Impella insertion, rotablator atherectomy, temporary pacemaker, TAVR, and Watchman
• Performs EP studies including cardiac ablation, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, and LAA closure
• Performs venous access, central venous access, port accessing/management, and EKG lead placement
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Receives brief orientation when floating to other units
