American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of cardiac cath lab experience for a cardiac intervention radiology role with structural heart capabilities.

The position requires California CRRT license, ACLS, ARRT-R, BLS, Fluoroscopy Permit, and Epic EMR proficiency. The role involves 3 rooms, 5x8 schedule, and travel considerations within the health system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of cardiac cath lab experience
• California CRRT license in hand at submission
• ACLS, ARRT-R, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit
• CCI RCIS certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization including PCI
• TAVR and Watchman experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI and PTCA
• Place IABP and Impella; perform structural heart interventions such as TAVR and Watchman
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Equipment setup and sterile field maintenance
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• Travelers may float between sister facilities within the health system

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and required California CRRT license for a cardiac intervention radiology role with structural heart capabilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of cardiac cath lab experience required
• California CRRT state license required and must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• ACLS, ARRT-R, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
• CCI RCIS certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Skilled in venous access, central line care, and vascular closure systems
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, PTCA, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with TAVR and Watchman procedures preferred
• Experience with carotid stenting, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and scrub procedures preferred
• Proficiency with fluoroscopy equipment, PACS, and sterile technique
• Compliance with isolation precautions and infection control standards

Responsibilities

• Cardiac intervention radiology setting with structural heart capabilities
• 3 procedure rooms with average daily census of 15
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hours (7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
• Call requirement of 3 call shifts within a 2-week period
• Weekend call required approximately every 6 weeks
• Epic EMR experience required
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI, PTCA, IABP and Impella placement, and structural heart interventions such as TAVR and Watchman
• Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and recognition of life‑threatening arrhythmias
• Scrubs are provided
• First‑time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must accept a local radius of 50 miles for eligibility at the travel pay rate
• Local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travelers and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• RTO requests are limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Candidates must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the health system
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
