Responsibilities

• Manage 12-bay pre/post-procedure space for patients.
• Handle adult cardiac cases from simple to complex.
• Operate with Epic charting as the primary system.
• Adhere to on-call schedule; weeknights, weekends, holidays possible.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure continuity of care.

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist II with 5+ years of RCIS/RT experience for a 13-week assignment at a high-volume academic cath lab.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required
• 2+ years experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
• 1+ years of traveler experience required
• Current ARRT and RCIS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA preferred; some facilities require AHA exclusively)
• Active MA license required at time of consideration; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
• License required if applicable
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Epic charting experience required

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 7 procedure rooms and a hybrid OR, all upgraded within the past 1-5 years
• 12-bay peri-procedural space available for patient prep and recovery
• Adult cardiac patient population with case types ranging from outpatient RHC and stable coronary angiograms to complex coronary, structural, and vascular interventions
• Lab averages over 30 cases per day
• Epic is the primary charting system; hemodynamic measurements are performed on the Siemens Sensis system
• Schedule consists of (3) 12-hour shifts or (4) 10-hour shifts, 07:00-17:30
• On-call responsibilities include weeknight, weekend, and holiday call, with an expected 1-3 weeknights and possibly 1 weekend call during the 13-week contract
• No weekend or holiday shifts worked, only on-call coverage
• Serve as a critical member of the patient care team, collaborating with other care team members to ensure continuity of care
• Promote patient/family-focused care in all interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are accepted, though this applies a reduced rate
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
