Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/IR Technologist with 2+ years IR experience and Epic EMR proficiency in California. The role requires BLS/ACLS, RCIS/ARRT or CA license, and willingness to travel between facilities.

Responsibilities include working in Diagnostic Cath Lab and IR settings with 4x10 shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM). Candidate must be able to perform angiography, biopsies, stent placements, and related IR procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Interventional Radiology experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• ARRT RCIS or California Radiologic Tech license preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Experience with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose.
• Competent in IR procedures including angiography, biopsy, and stent placements.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology setting.
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Patient population includes young adult, middle adult, and older adult cases.
• Procedures include angioplasty, embolization, chemoembolization, stent placements, IVC filter placement/removal, nephrostomy, cystoscopy, and various angiographic studies.
• Coordinate with equipment setup, room circulating, and sterile field maintenance.
• May require floating between sister facilities as needed.
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role.
• Open to working 3 of 5 major holidays and weekends as unit needs dictate.
• Local candidates within 50 miles may have lower bill rate.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years Interventional Radiology experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT or CCI RCIS certification required (ARRT R and California Radiologic Tech preferred)
• Valid state license required if applicable; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
• Skilled in a wide range of IR procedures including angiography, biopsy, and stent placements
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-offer RTO changes may not be accommodated
