Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience and MRT license and RT or RCIS certification required.

Responsibilities include work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department of an acute care hospital with a Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM day shift, 40 hours per week over a 13-week assignment, and 10-11 call shifts per month.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience.
• MRT license required.
• RT or RCIS certification required.
• ACLS and CPR-AHA (BLS) certifications required.
• MA license required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department of an acute care hospital.
• Monday-Friday day shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

• 10-11 call shifts per month, including rotating weekends.
• Provides shared on-call coverage for a 24/7 cath lab.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment during cardiac procedures.
• Perform scrub tech functions to assist cardiologists and vascular surgeons.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring during procedures.
• Document procedures during cases.

• RT or RCIS certification required


• Current ACLS and CPR-AHA (BLS) certification required


• Minimum 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience required


• Epic EMR experience required


• MA license required in hand if applicable

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department of an acute care hospital


• Monday-Friday day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM


• 40 hours per week over a 13-week assignment


• 10-11 call shifts per month required, including rotating weekends


• Provides shared on-call coverage for a 24/7 cath lab


• Epic EMR experience required


• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment during cardiac procedures


• Perform scrub tech functions to assist cardiologists and vascular surgeons

• Candidates must complete Tele/ECG and Medication competency testing (pass/fail)


• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, medical exemptions allowed


• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis for hard-to-fill roles


• Previous employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break since their last assignment at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility before returning


• First-time travelers will be considered
