Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for an acute care hospital in a travel assignment. Must have 2+ years of cath lab experience and ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and Fluoro Permit certifications. RCIS not accepted unless 5+ years experience; compact state license required at review.

Responsibilities include diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, peripheral vascular studies, and pacemaker placements. Four 10-hour shifts, some call, no weekends, and housing/travel allowances offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required.
• ARRT (R), BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Fluoro Permit required; license if applicable.
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration.
• RCIS not accepted unless candidate has 5+ years of experience.
• Epic charting experience preferred.

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular studies.
• Handle coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias.
• Daily caseload of 8-12 patients.
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• No weekend requirement; call required.
• Cath lab scrubs provided; ensures sterile field.
• May perform PCI, PTCA, left/right heart caths, temporary pacemaker insertions, EP studies.
• Travel to sister facilities within the region may occur.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• ARRT (R), BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Fluoro Permit required (license required if applicable); candidates with a pending Fluoro permit application may be considered
• RCIS not accepted unless candidate has 5+ years of experience
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field required
• Experience with equipment setup and accurate hemodynamic monitoring preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds
• Cardiac cath lab setting handling coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias
• Daily caseload of 8-12 patients
• Procedures include coronary diagnostic and interventional studies, peripheral diagnostic and interventional studies, and permanent pacemaker placements
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No floating requirement
• Call requirement
• Uses Epic for charting
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular procedures, and permanent pacemaker insertions
• May perform additional procedures including PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterizations, temporary pacemaker insertion, and electrophysiology studies such as AICD insertion/programming
• Cath lab scrubs provided
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius, at a lower bill rate
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates may be expected to float between sister facilities within the region
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• RTO requests must be submitted and approved at time of consideration
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
• 30 hours of orientation required
• Located near multiple state and national parks, including redwood forests and coastal access
