Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience to perform cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures in a healthcare facility. The role includes 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, on-call duties 7-9 days per month, and mandatory floating across units.

The position requires MO or Compact licensure, BLS/ACLS certification, and preferred ARRT advanced credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• ARRT Advanced Cert./CET preferred; ARRT R, CCI RCES, RCIS, and Fluoro Permit preferred.
• MO or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration if applicable.
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Experience with cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, right/left heart catheterization, cardiac ablation, pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion/programming, and vascular interventions.

Responsibilities

• Cath Lab Tech unit within Radiology/Cardiology
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities of 7-9 days per month
• Cerner charting system preferred
• Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year, requiring rotating shifts, holiday, and inclement weather coverage
• Perform a wide range of cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures including TAVR, Watchman, Impella insertion, hemodynamic monitoring, and temporary pacemaker placement
• Mandatory floating across applicable units, including serving as a Patient Observer/Sitter when needed
• 50% holiday coverage required during the contract
• Maximum of 10 days RTO allowed, none during first week due to orientation
• Travelers residing within 50 miles not eligible; 51-74 miles may get local rate
• First-time travelers may be considered; returning travelers do not require re-orientation if back within 18 months
• Up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a required 6-month break
