Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, SC. Requires 1 year cath lab experience and PALS, BLS, ACLS certification. On-site with day shift and on-call requirements. Travel-friendly with housing and licensure support.

Candidate will work in a pediatric cath lab with 2 rooms and may handle transplant and interventional cases. First-time travelers welcome; hurricane-season emergency response may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac cath lab procedures.
• Current PALS, BLS, and ACLS certification (AHA only).
• CCI certification with RCIS/RCES preferred; ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) also acceptable.
• Experience with cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, and PCI.
• Pediatric/neonatal diagnostic catheterization experience preferred.
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency.
• License required if applicable.
• Social Security Number required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Pediatric cath lab setting with 2 procedure rooms.
• Pediatric and adult transplant right/left heart biopsy, balloon, stent, and valve placement cases.
• May include interventional radiology cases, preferably pediatric.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• On-call requirement of 8-10 call shifts per month, including weekend coverage.
• EPIC charting system preferred.
• Located within a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion.
• All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November).
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within 60-mile radius rule, though non-local candidates are prioritized.
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for facility approval.
• Pre-start modules required, averaging 4 hours to complete.
