American Traveler seeks a Pediatric Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of pediatric/adult transplant cath lab experience for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital. The role includes pediatric and adult transplant procedures, stent placements, and angioplasties.

Day shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with 8–10 on-call shifts monthly. Travel assignments, housing support, and licensure reimbursements are part of the package.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) required.
Preferred: CCI RCIS or RCES; ARRT (R) with SCRQSA accepted.

Responsibilities

Pediatric Cath Lab setting within a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.
Perform pediatric and adult transplant cardiac catheterizations including biopsies, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and valve placement.
May participate in interventional radiology procedures, preferably pediatric.
On-call 8–10 shifts per month, including weekends.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in pediatric/adult transplant cath lab procedures for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (AHA-issued only)
CCI certification with RCIS or RCES preferred, or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) accepted as an alternative
License required if applicable
Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency
Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
Experience with adult diagnostic catheterizations preferred
Experience with pediatric/neonatal diagnostic catheterizations required
First-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

Pediatric Cath Lab setting within a Level I Trauma, teaching, Magnet-designated hospital
2 cath lab procedure rooms
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
On-call requirement of 8-10 call shifts per month, including weekend coverage
Cases include pediatric and adult transplant right/left heart biopsy, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and valve placement
May also include interventional radiology cases, preferably pediatric
Experience in Level I Trauma pediatric cath lab and EP procedures preferred
Epic EMR preferred
Perform pediatric and adult transplant cardiac catheterization procedures, including biopsies, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and valve placement
May participate in interventional radiology procedures
Block scheduling accommodations may be considered at manager's discretion, though not guaranteed
All staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November with peak activity in August and September
Local candidates accepted on a case-by‑case basis
Candidates residing within a 60-mile radius are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for facility approval
Parking requires a one‑time $20 fee for nights and weekends
