Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring at least 1 year of relevant experience and current RT-R (ARRT) or RCIS certification. The assignment is 13 weeks, with a 40-hour week and rotating on-call.

Shifts run 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, and you will assist with Heart, IR, and EP procedures and patient monitoring in a busy pediatric lab. Local candidates are welcome, though a radius rule may apply that could affect pay rate; first-time travelers

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Current RT-R (ARRT) or RCIS certification.
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start

Responsibilities

• Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab performing Heart, IR, and EP procedures
• 40-hour work week with rotating on-call coverage
• Shift hours from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system
• Perform active physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and oxygen saturations
• Anticipate procedural changes and communicate patient condition updates to physicians and team members
• Conduct patient testing including oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, and hemodynamic calculations
• Maintain asepsis and follow infection control and sharp safety protocols
• Assist with room setup, patient transport, and post-procedure cleanup
• Provide patient education on post-procedure monitoring and catheter site care
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that could affect pay rate
• First-time travelers may be considered
