Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a Level I trauma center cardiac stepdown unit. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of RN experience and an active RN license with BLS certification.

Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00, 13-week assignment, and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6. The unit is supported by PCTs, a unit secretary, and monitor techs for well-coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact).
• Current BLS certification through AHA.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient condition
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Work within a Level I trauma center serving patients of all ages
• Nurses work in teams supported by PCTs and a unit secretary
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate due to facility radius rule
