Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13‑week assignment in Wichita Falls, Texas. The PCU RN will work 12‑hour night shifts, 48 hours per week, on a travel basis, starting 10/19/2026.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and must hold an RN license. The role emphasizes close patient monitoring, medication administration, and rapid response to evolving conditions in the progressive care unit.

Qualifications

• Recent acute care patient care experience is required.
• PCU/step-down nursing experience preferred.
• BLS/ACLS may be required per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in PCU with close monitoring.
• Administer medications and document responses.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret vital data to detect changes.
• Stabilize patients and escalate as needed.
• Assist with IV placement and wound care as appropriate.
