Job summary

Optima Medical seeks a Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart and vessels across our Arizona clinics. You will obtain high-quality images, document findings, and collaborate with cardiology teams to support patient care.

The role requires 1 year of practical experience, proficiency in echocardiography and vascular studies, and a willingness to travel between clinic locations. Licensure or certification as required will be maintained.

Qualifications

• Echocardiography (ECHO) and vascular studies proficiency.
• 1 year of practical experience as a Sonographer.
• 10 months clinical experience in cardiac/vascular ultrasound.
• Willingness to travel between clinics.

Responsibilities

• Ultrasound Imaging: Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart and blood vessels.
• Patient Care: Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment per safety protocols.
• Data Analysis: Interpret images and document findings clearly.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high image quality and adhere to protocols.
• Patient Records: Accurately record procedures and findings in EMR/paper records.
• Continuing Education: Stay current with ultrasound tech advances and guidelines.
• Patient Education: Educate patients on the procedure and results.
