Job summary

Tommy's Express is hiring a Field Equipment Installer to install car wash equipment and bring it into operation across multiple states. The role involves traveling nationwide with a focus on practical assembly, mechanical aptitude, and teamwork; complex electrical or plumbing work is handled by contractors.

Qualifications

• Diploma/GED or equivalent formal training/certifications and construction experience preferred.
• Technical savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office; experience within database systems a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
• Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Views customer care as high priority; exhibits a positive can-do attitude.
• Displays a strong initiative and drive to identify gaps and fill them

Responsibilities

• Prior experience in assembly or construction with a mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel 40 weeks/year.
• Ability to work in multi-state locations.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time.
• Must be a great team player with ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Must be able to work in all states.
• Problem solving skills.
• Experience working in general construction, manufacturing, or similar field.
• Ability to weld is a plus.
