Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Building Controls Technician - Travel Team to support projects across customer sites. This junior role performs existing conditions site visits, documents field conditions, and assists with installation, startup, and verification of Tridium-based building automation systems.

This position requires regular travel, works under supervision of senior personnel, and supports field delivery, documentation, and customer coordination on multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of building automation systems and controls.
• Experience with field surveys, documentation, and startup support preferred.
• Exposure to Tridium/Niagara or BAS platforms beneficial but not required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites for existing conditions assessments of building controls.
• Document field conditions with notes, photos, and inventories.
• Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of Tridium/Niagara systems.
• Support graphics, schedules, alarms, trends, and point mapping under supervision.
• Perform equipment checks, testing, and field troubleshooting in the project.
• Coordinate with customers and teams to meet project schedules.
