Job summary

Baby-Friendly USA, Inc. seeks an Assessor to evaluate birthing facilities for Baby-Friendly Designation. This role involves in-person and virtual assessments, data collection, and reporting based onUS guidelines. A focus on travel and collaboration with a co-assessor is essential.

Required RN licensure with 5+ years in maternity care and completion of a 45-hour breastfeeding course; IBCLC is preferred. Valid US driver’s license and immunizations are expected.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure with at least five years of hospital/birthing center maternity unit experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to birthing facilities across the U.S. to conduct assessments.
• Perform on-site and virtual facility assessments per BFUSA protocols.
• Gather data via interviews, materials review, and observations.
• Maintain HIPAA/PHI confidentiality and information security policies.
• Collaborate with co-Assessor and Assessment Coordinator.
