Baby-Friendly USA, Inc. seeks an Assessor to conduct assessments of birthing facilities for Baby-Friendly Designation and Re-Designation, gathering data through interviews, materials, and observations, and drafting reports based on the current US Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria.

The role supports in-person assessments with some virtual options and requires travel to facilities across the U.S. with proximity to major airports preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with 5+ years of clinical experience in a hospital/birthing center maternity unit.
• 45-hour breastfeeding management course; IBCLC preferred; CERPS 35 hours within 5 years.
• Proof of current valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record.
• Immunizations up to date; may require drug tests.
• Private space for virtual interviews and secure internet access.

Responsibilities

• Travel to birthing facilities across the U.S. to conduct assessments.
• Perform on-site and virtual assessments using BFUSA protocols to verify Baby-Friendly criteria.
• Interview administrators, providers, staff and mothers; review materials; document observations.
• Submit reports and administrative documentation per established guidelines and timelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with WISP, HIPAA, PHI, and related policies.
